Training & Development
To help you achieve at Adams County, we offer a wealth of opportunities for your development. Our goal is to enhance the services provided throughout the community by fostering an environment that values and promotes training, thus supporting the mission and goals of the county.
The comprehensive employee training and development program offers a wide variety of classes on multiple dates and times at several locations. Classes are designed to ensure that training is truly effective and has a lasting impact.
Training and development classes are organized into categories based on employment groups. They are intended to develop knowledge and basic skills in the functions required in your current position. Other classes build on that knowledge and assist you in transitioning to the next level of your career. In addition, a management development series serves as a "refresher" for existing managers, new managers to the county or those who have been recently promoted.
Enrichment classes, available to all employees, are designed to improve and enhance the quality of employees' lives and careers, and create a better work/life balance.
Adams County encourages its employees to develop and grow as individuals, and enhance their ability to contribute to the overall success of the organization. The Tuition Reimbursement program offers assistance to full-time employees (40 hours per week) and some part-time employees (30-39 hours per week) who are entitled to benefits.
Adams County is committed to encouraging and supporting employees to be healthy, happy and to enjoy the highest possible quality of life.
Our goal is to help you put together the pieces of your personal health and wellness programs with regular physical activity, proper nutrition, preventive screenings and smart daily health decisions.
